Airport cell phone lots and parking, checked at the source
Where to wait for free while your passenger lands, and what each airport lot really costs. Every fact links to the airport's own website and shows when we last checked it. If the airport doesn't publish something, we say so instead of guessing.

What's on each airport page
- The cell phone waiting lot: address, price, rules (can you leave the car? restrooms?), and free alternatives such as grace periods in short-term garages.
- Every official lot's posted rates: short-stay tiers, daily maximums, height limits, payment rules and shuttle times.
- Off-airport lots, only from the operator's own website, with a map.
- Special cases: veteran parking, RVs and oversized vehicles, taxes, reservation rules.
We don't take prices from booking sites or other guides.

Cell phone lot FAQ
What is an airport cell phone lot?
A free (or cheap) waiting lot near the terminal where you park until your passenger calls to say they have their bags, then you drive to the arrivals curb. Raleigh-Durham's, for example, is free, about three minutes from the terminals, and drivers have to stay with their cars.

Are cell phone lots always free?
Not always. Pittsburgh's Free Wait Lot is free for the first hour, then $5 up to two hours and $10 up to four. Each airport page shows the airport's own posted price.

What if my airport doesn't list a cell phone lot?
Check for a free grace period in the short-term lots. New Orleans (MSY) doesn't publish a cell lot on its website, but its Short Term Garage and Surface Lot are free for the first half hour.

Can I leave my car in the cell phone lot and go inside?
Usually not. RDU, for example, requires drivers to stay with their vehicles in its cell lot. If you want to meet someone inside, use a short-term garage: RDU's Central and Premier garages are free under 15 minutes.

How do you check prices?
Airport rates come from the airport's own website, and off-airport lots from the operator's own site. We never copy prices from booking sites or other parking guides. If something isn't published, we say so. Every entry shows the date we checked it.
